Section 315
Guthi can be public or private

(1) Guthi may be public or private.
(2) A plot held for the purpose of carrying out the following purposes shall be deemed to be a public plot:-
(a) To establish, operate and use funds used for economic development infrastructure or other development-related work (b) To establish and operate a fund for skill development and creation and development of employment opportunities for people with low income,
(c) conducting social welfare programs,
(d) To establish and operate educational and academic institutions that are useful for the general public such as schools, colleges, universities,
(e) establishing and operating a hospital for public purposes such as a hospital or a health post,
(f) conservation of natural, historical or cultural heritage or promotion of such activities,
(g) Conducting wildlife, aquatic or environmental protection programs,
(h) conducting programs for the protection, welfare or upliftment of the interests of various classes, groups or communities,
(i) conducting sports related programs,
(j) Doing service-oriented welfare work,
(k) conducting rescue operations,
(l) To perform a religious act in a monastery, temple, monastery, chaitya, mosque, church or similar,
(d) conducting other public programs for the public interest.
(3) Guthi held for the purpose of providing benefit, benefit or convenience to a particular person or group shall be considered as private guthi.
(4) Where a Guthi is established to serve both public and private purposes, such Guthi shall be deemed to be a public Guthi.
